Jar of hearts
Naast mijn eigen nummer heb ik dus ook twee covers opgenomen. Jar of hearts is daar een van. Ik heb dit nummer uitgekozen omdat ik het heerlijk vind om te zingen. Het nummer heeft lekkere uithalen en een hele hoge bridge. Ik vind het een fijn nummer om veel emotie in te gooien, mijn profielwerkstuk gaat tenslotte om mijn gevoel bij muziek. Ik had bij dit nummer alleen wel graag nog een tweede stem willen doen maar dat is er niet van gekomen, ook vanwege tijd te kort. Ik ben wel nog van plan deze cd uittebereiden dus wie weet doe ik het dan alsnog. Ik vind dat Christina Perri een mooie tekst heeft geschreven en goed haar verdriet en misschien zelfs boosheid uit, ook in haar stem. Ik had zelf wat meer moeite daarmee vandaar dat het eigenlijk heel anders is geworden. Mijn cover verschilt ook van het orgineel omdat ik het in een andere toonsoort heb gezet. Met name omdat het begin erg laag was en ik het refrein ook hoger mooier vind. Zo vind ik het wat minder eentonig omdat Christina voor mijn gevoel eentoniger zingt met hier en daar een uithaal.. De bridge valt daardoor wat minder op bij Christina. De tekst van "Jar of hearts" gaat als volgt:
